Tomb Sweeping Day falls on either April 4th or 5th of the solar calendar.
A lot of Taiwanese people would visit their ancestors’ and family members’ graves and pay their respects by kowtowing, bowing, and worshipping.
In addition, there is a tradition of eating Taiwanese spring rolls.
We usually tidy up the gravesite before we worship at the ancestors’ tombs on Tomb Sweeping Day.
In the past, a lot of people would burn incense or joss paper to worship their ancestors, but now they use flowers instead.
Family members wrap and eat Taiwanese spring rolls / popiah together.
Some common ingredients we put inside a roll are shredded carrots, shredded eggs, dried bean curd, and bean sprouts.
That is a day to gathering all the family and get everyone's more closer.
